Food facilities have large cooling requirements and the only way to get large volumes of cold air into a room without velocity is Fabric Ducting. The large surface area of Fabric Ducting in a Food Factory means that the air is delivered and distributed evenly into often, very large spaces.
Food factories have high hygiene standards and Fabric Ducting is an ideal ventilation system because it’s easy to remove and clean – and can be washed in a normal washing machine before being re-installed.
Prihoda Fabric Ducting is also unique in that our material is Cleanroom quality as standard which also means that there is no fibre shedding from the fabric and no risk of contamination.
Cinemas, Theatres and Arenas
Cinemas and Theatres are a popular application for Fabric Ducting because with a large surface area and long length of Fabric Ducting in a space it’s easy to deliver lots of air at low velocity into these areas. Spectators are sensitive to wide temperature variants and draughts.
Large spaces such as halls and arenas benefit from the economies of scale available from Fabric Ducting which will be significantly cheaper than equivalent sizes of rigid ducting and will require much less secondary support infrastructure. Our Fabric Nozzle diffusers can throw long distances and provide quite targeted air patterns and velocities, ideal for these applications.
Supermarkets, exhibition halls and large retail areas
For large retail areas we can provide supply air through laser cut perforations or nozzles, whichever suits the application best. Experience over many years shows that Fabric ducting offers a substantially better, more unform air pattern than can be achieved with traditional systems and we often design different air patterns for ducts in different areas (no air diffusion over refrigerated sections in supermarkets for example).
Different shapes and colours allow us to be able to offer aesthetic but effective ventilation solutions to these areas whilst our Flame Retardant Material ensures we provide a safe ventilation system for employees, visitors and consumers in these areas.

Prihoda Fabric Ducting is the perfect solution for Pharma, Cleanroom and other sensitive environments and is a significant part of our turnover already.
Our popular Flame Retardant Fabric Duct is also Cleanroom standard by default due to our use of ‘endless fibre’ technology, guaranteeing a system that doesn’t shed fibres. In addition we also offer a premium material which is anti-static and anti bacterial and covers most eventualities in terms of sensitive manufacturing demands.

Pools, Sports Halls and Fitness Centres
Large sports facilities are a typical application for Prihoda Fabric Ducting, we are able to create a large range of diffusion air patterns to suit any project. Whilst our many installations at sports and fitness centres provide comfortable cooling air movement for customers ‚working out‘.
In these applications low ceiling heights are often encountered, where half round fabric ducts make an aesthetic and functional low cost installation solution.
Swimming Pools are a major user of Fabric Ducts, where the fabric material copes easily with the harsh environment at a fraction of the cost of treated and insulated rigid systems. The bright colours available revive and enhance many swimming pool interiors.
Kitchens and Restaurants
Space in kitchens is usually minimal, and their extreme load with heat and vapours requires intense ventilation. Prihoda Fabric Ducts disperse high volumes of air uniformly into this environment without creating draughts.
The fabric material used is resistant to steams and vapours and maintenance is very quick and easy. Compared to a traditional stainless steel installation Fabric Ducting is a much lower purchase, installation and maintenance cost and easily achieves sanitary and hygiene demands due to its cleanability.
Restaurant customers are sensitive to draughts and no one likes to eat beneath ‘The Air Conditioner’ and its draughts. We often retro fit Fabric Ducting into restaurants with these problems and can deliver aesthetic low velocity cooling across the whole the dining area, avoiding ‘cold spot’ problems.
Offices, Commercial areas and Schools.
Higher aesthetic demands can be satisfied by the muliple colours and shapes available with Prihoda Fabric Ducting. Correctly manufactured and perfectly installed fabric diffusers become an elegant part of an interior.
Air diffusion through Fabric Ducting provides similar results to chilled beams or perforated ceilings, however although the performance is similar, Fabric Ducting is available at a much lower capital cost.
Unlike the traditional diffusers, embedded in soffits, our broadly diffused solutions do not cause any local hot/cold temperature discomfort. Experience has demonstrated that employees and students in rooms which have an even low velocity air distribution are significantly more comfortable.
The benefits of using Prihoda Fabric Ducting and distribution systems for cooling or heating of large scale tents or other temporary structures are self evident. Light weight roof structures can easily support fabric ducting and diffusers weighing from 100 to 400 g/m². Installation is very quick, using the supporting wires and hooks provided as part of the system.
Top quality materials allow multiple repeated use. Cooling or heating using a large AHU and Fabric Ducting diffusing all along the structure,is much more economical than simply blowing the air into a space. Specifically with heating the warm air rises quickly creating a high temperature zone high in the ceiling and enourmous heat loss.
In cooling, intense airflow causes local air currents and draughts; whilst elsewhere zones with insufficient cooling develop. Both cases are successfully resolved by a properly designed Fabric Ducting distribution system.
